Easter Fun

Easter was a lot of fun this year, obviously.
June had a pretty new dress and shoes, a lady at church said she really looked like Easter, so that can't be a bad thing.
We went to Grandma Joy's house and had a nice Easter brunch and tried to have an Easter egg hunt. Wasn't so much a hunt as it was a sacrifice; we basically laid them out in front of her, hoping she would be interested. She did enjoy the cheerios' inside, as did O'Malley!
Nothing topped the jello eggs that Grandma made though. June thought jello was pretty fun, she giggled and slurped and was pretty stained at the end. Luckily the red food colouring came off in her bath that night; I would have been so embarrassed to bring her in to daycare with a bright chin and cheeks! They probably would have thought it was a crazy rash and sent her home for the day!

Our Charming Lass

I warned everyone that I would lose some steam on this blog, but I'm back more determined than ever!
We took June to the St. Patrick's Day parade in St. Paul on Saturday. I'm convinced that this is probably only fun if you're very intoxicated. Which is our plan for next year! It was very cold and we probably didn't have June dressed properly, hence mommy's mittens on June's little hands (and arms!). I'm not sure if she saw much, Jeff said she was in a kind of coma, sleeping with her eyes open, trying to conserve heat and energy. She caught some beads (didn't do anything naughty to get them! ) and she got to show off her shamrock t-shirt, which seemed awfully small for being 12 mos., but I suppose she had all of those layers on underneath, it's not her fault she looks like Chris Farley (may he rest in peace)! It was just nice to be outside with her and I think we're all looking forward to fun adventures with her in the future!
